ABOUT the FOUNDER

Allyson grew up in North Georgia, where as a lifetime Girl Scout she was encouraged in her love for creating programs for and working with kids. She studied English, creative writing, and theater at Emory University, all with the dream of using those skills to work with children--and now she does! After becoming a boy mom twice over and working with a multitude of programs, schools, and homeschool co-ops, she decided to start Positively Playful: a place where families could come together to learn, play, and find support.

She loves to read and find new bookstores to get lost in. Atlanta is her happy place and she loves to visit the city with her boys, where she dreams up new activities and stories. She currently lives in Braselton, Georgia with her family.
